Connecting KAMD300\'s ro Raymarine C-Series (or E-Series)

Hi Everyone

Just updated my C-Series to the new version which has some extra features including "Engine Monitor"

The Reference manual says:-

"The Engine data is transfered from the engines serial interface to your C-Series display via NMEA2000/SeaTalk2)
Note: For details of compatible engines refer to www.raymarine.com"

However - I can't find anything on their website!!

Today I had the engines serviced and there is a 2 pin service connector that the engineer plugged his Volvo gizmo into and it displayed all the info that the C-Series can display, Revs, Temp, Fuel rate etc.

So, has anyone got any ideas on how to connect the 2 pin Volvo output to the Seatalk bus?

Anyone got their C or E Series displays showing engine data?

Not sure about your motors but our Volvo D4 EVC data output needs a module to convert to NMEA and enable data to be read by non Volvo EVC displays. I did get a quote for the Volvo EVEC display and the module and from memory it was about £500.00 for the module on its own. So I guess you will need a pair of those.

Hi there Panther. I have just come across this old discussion. I too have a P36 with KAMD300's - wondering how you got on with getting engine data to your Raymarine kit? I'd love to do this - can you give me some info?
