idea stolen from Craig Brown and Mirelle a bit, but what the heck

I : braved the elements on a difficult passage
You: might have read the forecast more closely
He: foolishly risked the boat and crew

I : cleverly rigged a temporary fix
You : made do and mend
He: bodged it up

I : sailed the whole way non-stop
You : built some seamiles at least
He: went too far with a family crew

I : am very concientious with maintenance
You : have saved a lot of money
He: is a right picky git

I : enjoy socialising with boaty friends
You : fell over before closing time
He : is an alcoholic

I : am the proud owner of a 1930's sailing boat
You : own a classic
He : is saddled with an old heap

Very good, what about:

I: am always on hand to offer advice to the inexperienced
You: have over 200,000 posts on Scuttlebutt
He: spends all his time on the computer

I: know my engine inside out
You: are always breaking down
He: should get a new engine or a pair of oars
