Have I missed some change to the navigation marks system ( buoyage and all that stuff) or does something look wrong here

In Finland, they don't put top marks on their cardinals. You just hope that they aren't in silhouette.

I'd not like to have to rely on cardinals with no top marks ..... in fact off hand I cannot remember the arrangement of black and yellow bands, even if I could see them.

but before someone tells me

Black corresponds with the points but fully agree, a bit of weed growth and the yellow looks black around the base, making Noth an East.
 
I went into Thornham Marina a couple of years ago with a long keel which was pretty hairy just navigating by sticks that had fallen over in the mud, very little room to manoeuvre :eek:

Great folks that run it - love the idea of their bottom scrub promotion, £30 odd quid but they will do it for free if they lose the toss of a coin.
