Conference to examine charting of Irish waters
So we have our own "Hydrographic Office" at long last? That only took 85 years! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Many of the existing BA charts were surveyed by the famous navigator Captain Bligh of Bounty fame, and have proven the test of time. His chart of Dublin Bay is still in use today. It was amazing what they could do with a sextant for triangulation on it's side in those days.
