I have an old flexi solar panel I'm trying to repair, as a bit of idle curiosity as much as anything. It still gives a healthy output, but one of the circuit terminals is damaged through corrosion. One of the damaged copper circuit ends is not meaty enough to solder to and it set me thinking that glueing an extension piece of conductor on would be ideal......if only there were such a thing available as a copper (preferably) based adhesive or resin, or indeed any sticky conductor where I could establish not only a good contact, but also something to reattach the cable to.

I havn't looked in Maplins catalogue yet, but just wondered if anybody else had any ideas that might help.

Many years ago, offshore Angola, 3 months supply chain, the IBM PS2 keyboard had some good old boy coffee spilt on it. After a few days it gave up the ghost. In those days a lot of screws held them together. i took it apart. Similar things inside, aluminium circuit tracks corroded away. I fixed it by aralditing kitchen foil to the broken track. I also believe you can buy conductive paint for repairing car rear window heaters

Friend thought he would repair the magneto with brass laden époxy on the slip ring. DUH! The époxy isolated the brass filings from each other, so no go. Seems things have moved on since 1971..
