Just seen this bad news



Condor Vitesse was en route from St Malo in France to St Helier in Jersey yesterday morning when the incident happened, Condor Ferries said in a statement. No passengers or crew members on board the ferry were injured, but one of the fishermen on the trawler was taken to hospital where he died.

Yep I was out that day. Coming back from SPP. It was foggy but worse of all it had fog banks drifting around. As usual when you want it Radar packed up and we were fortunate to be able to follow another mobo to the jersey coast.

I always thought although I can hear the fastcat it will keep clear of me. Obviosley not the case. An awfull ordeal for the fishing crew and I heard the comments from the passengers on the ferry where they were indicating that maybe the ferry was going very fast at the time of impact. Who knows but for sure we should not assume our professional partners are able to keep clear of us at all times
