Went for a cycle ride on Wednesday from the EA moorings at Weybridge to Kingston Bridge and back. Was really surprised how much liveaboard junk seemed to be moored anywhere they could find a space. Even one of those bright orange rescue thingies you see on the back of ships! There was one sunk on the opposite bank near Dave Gilmore's houseboat. Wonder who's going to pick up the tab for clearing that.
TBH I'm not at all sorry to have left the Thames. Very sad to see the demise of the river.

Normally it's about 1 hour 15 minutes from home to Shamrock. We rarely get held up anywhere except perhaps the A3 through Guildford but it's always moving traffic, just a bit slow. We do work weekends in the summer with our days off being mid week. How different it is at weekends I couldn't really say.

I'm lucky - takes me 15 mins to get to my boat. I can be on the water in 25-30 mins if I push.
