Computer assist req\'d (non boaty)

My Building Society, (or whatever it calls itself these days) has sent me a file with a .HTU extension, any advice on how I might open that?

It's not listed on any of the file-type directories online, so it's not a known file type.

Therefore either a typo, could it be .htm ?

or it's proprietory to the building society, and they have their own software which can open this thing

have you just tried dragging it into your web browser and dropping it
