For anyone who can read german: At www.yachtsportarchiv.de you can find (for free!):

* All pages of the german magazine "Yacht" from 1904 to 1981 with full-text-search. These 100.000 pages can be read online.
* a complete register of all german classic yachts from ca. 1880 up to 1970. Over 30.000 boats
* A picture database with over 2500 pictures.
* books, articles etc.

All databases are connected where ever possible.
We can manage to create an english navigation in the databases, if there is any need. But the content will stay german.

Very good even without any German I was able to find about half a page on my Contention 33 I will have to get the text translated so thet I can read it. Looks very comprehensive however.

You will not be able to translate the pages since they are only JPGs (pictures). I have all the recognised pure text (over 500 MB) that can be translated. If you need a page just call me, i'll send you the text of it.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I realise that they are JPG . I have a friend who will be able to translate it for me and I now have a hard copy of the article.
