On the roof of our little pad in Southern France, we have a masthead unit by Lucas. That puts its age at around 30 years I reckon.
As the bearings have died, I brought it back to try to repair. It looks like it will be impossible.
As the readouts are cosmetically suited to an apartment interior than a boats cockpit (they are analogue and mounted on a mahogany panel), I would like to retain them.
What is the chance of finding a replacement masthead unit that will talk to the instruments?
