Hi
My first post. I am looking at purchasing a wireless Garmini gwind mast head unit which I believe runs NMEA2000. Would it connect and work if I connected it to the Nmea 2000 backbone which my chart plotter is connected to. I am unsure wether different branded goods work on the common NMEA 2000 system or are they restricted to working with own brand instruments. The the cost of a Garmini is much lower than the B&Gwind unit which is not wireless.
