Already having Airmar tranducers feeding an ST30 Bidata, I'd like to change to NASA duet display.
But is it essential to change the tranducers? That means a lift out, and maybe enlarging hull hole etc.
Are these compatible? ie can I just connect existing Airmar jobs to the Duet?

Depends on frequency used by echosounder transducers. Should work if both systems use the same frequency transducers, otherwise not. Logs usually work by a magnet on the wheel and reed switch in the body creating a pulse for each revolution of the paddle wheel. A different size wheel will give a false reading.
Try obtaining full specs for each syatem and see if the frequencies / paddlewheels match. Or, you could just ask NASA, I have found them helpful in replying to emails.
