I had my first ever encounter with these chaps today. Not a straightforward problem but they simply could not have been more helpful, understanding, polite and professional.
No connection, simply credit where it is due.

I had a lot of trouble getting some Compass Binocoms repaired under guarantee recently. Took months of e-mails, letters, phone calls to get any action.

Compass Watersports claim they were let down by the manufacturer but that's their concern, not mine, and no excuse. They should have just given me a new pair, instead they have now a dissatisfied customer. Dissatisfied with them for their poor service, and dissatisfied with myself for not demanding a replacement.

Agreed. When I had a problem with an item from Compass a few years ago, an exchange was arranged quickly and with a minimum of fuss.

Also had horrendus problems getting a refund on a faulty item a couple of years back - took threat of small claims court before they refunded my £36.00.

Tried to say that it was manufacturer's problem not theirs.

Would never use them again.

I purchased a Humminbird fishfinder from them, it failed whilst under warranty. The person I spoke to from compass was very helpfull but, I have now had to wait over six weeks and still no nearer. It seems I have to post the item to the uk, they post it to Germany who fixes it, they post it back to uk who the posts it back to me, could I not post it direct to Germany I ask? nope fraid not sir. So I still await arrival. Would I buy from them again? I think not.
