Anyone got/used this beast*, or one like it?

Having just had my 8x30s nicked, and having an excellent but heavy pair of 7 x 50s aboard, I'm looking for something easy to use one-handed for a quick squint at things. The built in compass would be a bonus.

*currently on offer from Force4

I was tempted by something similar a while ago. In the end I came to the conclusion that I would still need binoculars for those occasions when I really did need to have a good look at something. I stuck with bins.

Now if it just had a night sight as well....

I bought a cheap one years ago, it is good, but spoiled by not adjusting enough to cope with my short sight.
You don't quite realise that till you try it at night.
However as I get older, I've grown into it...

Yes, I have one of the very same, which I bought on the delivery trip to bring current yacht home from Kinsale.

Since wearing varifocal spectacles, I find it very difficult to use a conventional hand bearing compass because I cant get it aligned properly with the target and then read the bearing.

The monocular can only give one answer, which cant be wrong.

.

Is there metal in your glasses which might cause deviation? I was told to take mine off.

Have the same model. Only have one eye so binos were pointless. Mono works really well, £50 in Jersey last year.
I just use one side of binos for the same reason. Maybe we could buy a pair to share?
I would be interested to hear how well the "• Range finder reticule" works on the Force 4 mono.
