Yes, that's it - looks pretty much the same as the one in the Screwfix catalogue too.
Don't want to spend shedloads on one as it won't get used a lot. However these cheap ones seem to spin pretty quick - too fast for GRP, get too hot?
got one of those round car type polishers - you can have it for the price of post and packing - contribute what you think its worth to the rnli. Not that I'm generous, just that they are marginal. OK for light work.
went out and bought a proper job from machine mart. much more effective, more expensive and harder work
so the answer depends on whether you have a grubby old mab to polish or a brand new awb.
Last summer I was paid to polish a few boats and did some research and experimenting. I had a 'proper' polisher (like a slow running version of my big grinder/cutter) and a polisher like the one from Compass. I found the big one great for using cutting compound and the Compass one good for the final polish. Be carefull not to burn the grp with the cutting compound and ensure the Compass one just ocillates and does not spin.

Thanks wotayottie for great offer. I'll think on for a day and watch the replies, I'll send you a PM if I decide to go for it. Bit torn at the moment, having now looked on EBay, Silverline, Machine Mart, Toolstation etc etc....
I have a 10-year old AWB in very reasonable nick so maybe I don't need a serious beastie.
well, it depends what you mean by polish... if you need to cut back some grime, I can recomend the Silverline (£35?, though + heads/mops/sponges etc) and some Farecla, or whatever its called.
If you just want to put some polish on, the the teflon based polish (International etc), you can just do by hand, to be honest.

I didn't really want to do it by hand, there's a lot of it!
