hi just wondered if anyone could give us advice on how to repair the oarlocks on my compass 230 as they have peeled of from the tube looked for support but meh cant find any on compasses web site ,dont even know what glue to use as dont know what its made of(Hypalon or PVC) thx Danny

If this is Compass dinghy from Compass Inflatables rather that Compass Watersports (aka Compass24) it may be Hypalon. Early ones were Hypalon IIRC but I think later ones were PVC.

If it's one from Compass24 it is PVC!

Go to the Polymarine website and look at their table of inflatable materials and also their notes on identifying the material

See http://www.polymarine.com/?page_id=23 and follow the links

It is important that you identify the material and use the correct adhesive.

For best results use the appropriate 2 pack adhesive, rather than the single pack. If necessary buy the adhesive from Polymarine or an inflatable boat specialist. Chandlers often stock only the single pack adhesive

Follow the instructions that you can find from the above page.

Done properly with the correct adhesive you should be able to make a 100% satisfactory repair. Use the wrong adhesive and you may not!
