I'm developing a web site which provides opinions on various cruising areas, including places/things you must try to visit, also places you'd only use if you had to.

The site is intended to help people plan their cruises, whether they are charterers, or long term live-aboards. It is not a pilot book; it's a series of opinions about the fun factor, interest and utility of various harbours in different cruising areas.

So far I have mostly completed the comparisons of Greek Cruising areas, and I've just added N Spain, though that still need maps and pictures - they'll come in August.

On the list for later development are W Scotland, W Ireland and Brittany - in the same style.

This is a non-commercial site, just a hobby. I need your help to keep it up to date. So I'd welcome comments about the utility of the site, also any inputs of your own opinions of 'must see' places, or places to avoid. Oddball pubs, fun restaurants, places to leave boats for a week or two, and places to winter - Your experiences please!

There are places near Athens that aren't crowded and you've missed out a couple of my favourite harbours in the Argolic and Saronic.

We are based on Aegina and this can be a wonderful cruising area if you know a few rules about which days to avoid which harbours.

Just a few corrections reg. Rias de Galicia.
1. The marinas are called Pueros Deportivos, without the "s".
2. The Rias are divided in "Rias Altas" and "Rias Bajas". In spanish the plural of the subject is also used in the adjective, thus Ria Alta becomes in plural Rias Altas.
3. In the Ria de Betanzos y Ares are at the moment two marinas. You mention the one in Sada, but there is also one in Ares. The last one is situated on the N-shore of the Ria de Ares. There are plans to build another marina in Miño, across from Sada. According to the municipality this marina could be necessary, because the mole built to protect the marina in Sada, diverts the currents in the ria and breaks down the dunes and the beach in Miño.
