Companies to move 6.5 metre boat Wales to Brighton

Good evening all

Can anyone recommend a company in the Brighton area who would transport a 6.5 metre boat from North Wales to Brighton please ?.

I am seriously considering buying a boat which comes with a trailer. The trailer has had little use and is in immaculate condition, but will be surplus to requirements once in Brighton. Perhaps the transport company would be interested in doing a ‘bit of a deal’ concerning the trailer as payment ?

I would tow the boat on its own trailer but firstly do not have access to a suitable vehicle and secondly have never towed in my life.

Any opinions and suggestions will be most welcome

I'm currently looking to buy a trailer, please let me know more about it.
 
Many sincere thanks for all the replies to my thread. They are all very much appreciated, as are the PMs sent.

I'm as happy as a pig in...... As my offer for the boat and trailer has been accepted. So I can now begin to make firm arrangements.

Although the trailer appears to be in excellent condition I have asked the boatyard to remove the wheels and inspect the bearings etc just to make sure everything is in order. If things should need a little 'service' I will of course have this done before using it to move the boat from North Wales to Brighton.

Being that I live in Kent I obviously have to ask others to take care of minor things that I would normally attend to.

The boat in question is a Merry Fisher 645 which I believe is listed as 21ft and weighing 1400 Kg. Although I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who could provide much more detail

At this moment in time I have no photos of the trailer (but am working on that) but details on the attached plate are

Gross Cap. 2000 Kg

Net Cap. 1500 Kg

Congratulations on the purchase. I just sent you a PM regarding the trailer weight capacity as I believe you need to add the outboard weight @200kg to the brochure weight of the MF645
