It's a legal obligation for quoted companies to send shareholders an Annual Report & Accounts. Many companies, especially those with huge numbers of small shareholders, offer their shareholders the facility to receive the information electronically rather than in printed format, and this obviously reduces costs (which are ultimately borne by the shareholders).
But there are many positive benefits to producing a good quality printed report; it can be used to influence investors, analysts, potential clients, and a host of others. If professionally produced, it can be a very cost-effective marketing tool.
Think yourself lucky you just have to read the b******* things: i am in the middle of having to WRITE one. Pounding headache from looking at the VDU and trying to make the figures add up.
Hello Moondaara. Where in Southport? I was brought up there, left @18 to go to London for education/work and never managed to escape. Lived Liverpool Road, Ainsdale, and was introduced to boats in Mirror then Laser on marine lake. Haven't been back for ages, I assume marine lake is still there with zillions of boats on it? Powerboats too at the north end? Southport Sailing Club cant still be there can it - the club house was made out of corrugated cardboard? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
