I need advice regarding the following message received just moments ago:

Dear tcm

We urgently need highly skilled marketing advice to take full advantage of the "brand Marlon" success story.

We should have a full range of Marlon merchandise, T shirts, jewlery and hats. And sexy plant pots.

A ghost writer should be appointed for his biography 'Minted"- the early years. This will chronicle his rise to fame from his humble beginnings as a seed in a council allotment in Peckham.

Marlon Fan Club. Monthly news letters plus the Platinum service. Recieve a personally signed postcard from each of his destinations in the forthcoming Carribbean tour.

Finally, the Marlon Foundation. Specifically for young fatherless geraniums whose mothers were er deflowered.

Even more finally, The Marlon Recepie book, to include the famous Marlon Leg Opener Cocktail, not to be shown to geraniums under 16.

Seize the day!

Re: Mint slogan required

Minty Way. The mint you can eat between meals without ruining your appetite.

Marlo. The mint with a soul

A Marlon a day makes you work rest and pished.

His qualities of being carminative, stimulative, stomachic, diaphoretic and antispasmodic do not lend themselves easily to the normal marketing strategy, as you will agree.

However, if we distill the essence of Marlonness (Marlonity ?) we can produce MENTHOL which has anaesthetic and counter-irritant properties, both of which are doubtless never required on any boat owned by tcm....

Turning to the question of image associated with His Marlonship, we can develop something along these lines (bottom left especially)

, as it has strong affinities with the "stick man" so beloved of primitive artists, and which resonates atavistically with modern man and his struggle to escape from the travails of work, selling dvds, and the "Lost Albatross" syndrome whereby man seeks to cross and re-cross endless times the nearest flat piece of sea.

Our usual fees will be billed according to the agreements which were agreed and signed in Marlondom yesterday.
