I am considering a Walker Bay 275 RID to use as a tender?
I appreciate the extra large cockpit area for passengers & cargo, but the spec. says it is only suitable for 2 person with a max load of 186 kg which I find a bit odd. What can I do with all the space if the load is so limited?

Any comment?

Not sure why you prefer RID vs RIB, but I have a 270 WB Rib and it safely holds way more than the rating. Very stable, light weight and planes well with two people and 8hp Yam.

I was originally going for the WB 270 RIB with YAM 9.9, but then I thought it may be fun if I can also use the RID to learn "sailing".
I don't quite need the speed of the RIB, but I will be using the tender a lot to transport family and gear back and forth the beach so the load become a concern.....

Btw, what speed could you achieve with the YAM 8, 270 RIB ?:)

We had 350kgs of people in ours last weekend with no problems, though I wouldn't want to be in anything other than pretty calm water!

Hi
I've got the RID 275. No probs with 2 adults, child and large dog. And i've only got a 2hp Honda. Always wondered what it would go like with a bigger engine....
It sails quite well too, given the multi-purpose-ness etc
Anyway, hopefully will be for sale soon....

KK, With one person it goes as fast as I would want to go...with two it still planes. Once we add the large dog she becomes a displacement RIB! Good luck.
