Hi All.
Any reason I can't join my new NASA wind instrument mounted on cockpit bulkhead to existing power supply for my depth and log instruments behind this bulkhead. I'm thinking chocolate box to join em together. Behind my switch panel is a rats nest . Feasible? Thx

Of course. All my nav instruments are on the same switched supply (although for the autopilot switches a relay to provide extra power). But I would suggest Wago levers rather than choc blocks.

Thx for the replies chaps, My two instruments are linked somewhere, have found power lead to depth & speed but has raymarine 3 pin connector and what looks like heat shrink over a joint. If l get stuck you might be getting a shout Paul 😁

Gents . Thx all connected and working, now for some reason unknown to me my autopilot switch on the panel is not lighting up. This I haven't tried before and as far as I know have not removed any wires, altho l did remove the cd player and the old Phillips ap navigator GPS. Surely that wasn't connected to the autopilot in any way. This electrics is a black art !!

You may have removed the common negative that links the switches together so the lamps light, each takes its power from each circuit but negatives are often linked together.
