Colvic Watson 28.6

Hi all, after months of searching and traveling I have finally purchased a boat.
A Colvic Watson 28.6 I was told was 1993 however I realised that they were not made after 1990,
How do i find the year as It seems a strange one to have a rear cabin like its big sister the Colvic 34.
can anyone ID this boat for me and where would one find the Hull number

You'll find the hull number on the port side stern, just below the rubrail. Many CW's were home completed, some owners taking years over the project. The date you have may be when she was launched. CWs came in a variety of flavours, with or without aft cabins.
There are two Watson sites, one on Face Book, the other on Colvic Watson Owners Group i.o. As Sarabande suggested, contact Caer Urfa in regards to a date of manufacture for your boat once you have gotten your hull number.

Congrats on your new boat. They are remarkably seaworthy, but there are a few improvement that can be made that improve their performance significantly and at a modest investment. We sail a 32. If interested, PM me

May I ask what engine it has.
I had a 24ft Colvic Watson. I wish I had bought the 28 ft one of the size you have.

The 28 also has the best standard sail area/displacement ratio among her sisters and is arguably the best looking of the brood.

Yes it'll likely be the launch date - my 34's hull was moulded in the late '70's but she wasn't splashed until 2011!
