Bit late to be asking that question, isn't it? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Do a quick Google and you will find dozens of websites. If you find one at Boatshed.com they normally have dozens of photos for each yacht.

My father has one & I intend to buy it. I have sailed her several times. Designed by David Feltham (who designed the Cobra 750 I have). Can hold good account of herself with respect to speed, but lighter modern boat will probably have edge on you. Reassuring feel; traditional cockpit layout (i.e. don't feel like you are going to slide 10ft across to other side). Slightly happier off wind than up (probably due to mast head sloop rig). Masses of space. Well constructed. Another guy with one (Brighton Marina where I am) sailed his round UK solo with no problem. So in summary, sound family cruiser that's good alrounder, rather than racer.

Hi there.
I've got one of these - built with my own fair hands from a bare hull between 1979 and 1983. They were also built "professionally" by Atlanta Marine (now long gone).
As has been said, they are extremely strongly built, lots of space for the size, but unlikely to win any races. They were available with a fin, or bilge keels.
The only critical bulkhead is the main one below the mast - you may have a steel post somewhere there as well. Otherwise, it's just a case of going 6 foot-and-a-bit forward and aft of that bulkhead to get the right length for the berths, and then fit the galley, chart table, seating and everything else within those parameters. She's a heavy boat, so a few pounds of extra weight on port or starboard side is unlikely to make any great difference to the trim.
"Arenaria" has cruised the Solent, West Country, Normandy, Brittany, Holland and Channel Islands over the past 20 years, and still looks good for her age. I fitted mine with wheel steering (Whitlock Cobra) but most (I think) have a tiller. Original engine was a Yanmar 3QM30, now replaced with a 3 cylinder Beta.
By all means PM me if I can help with any additional advice.

I have one (here) had it in the water for only one season now. Not a fast boat but will look after you, goes well in heavey weather but light airs, you might as well start the engine. Many were fitted out by the owners, so fit outs and design/quality will vary. If PM me your email address I'll send you some internat pics. I also have the origional blue print drawing by David Feltham showing the layout but it's on the boat I could send you a copy if it helps.
David
