I have often wondered:
Is a shark under power or under sail?
If its under sail how do you determine what tack its on?
Should it be displaying two balls cos it can't see behind it?

Using it's own power so not a sailing vessel. Even a sailfish isn't actually a sailing vessel.
These days i would imagine that most blue-water sharks are fitted with radar as well as GPS. It's only the average/great white sharks that don't have the right gear and end up going round in circles on the telly.

If it has a fin up its under sail.
To display two balls there would be no fin, 'cos it would have to swim on its back. Well Mr shark would.
