Took Rafiki for a gentle cruise upriver yesterday, and had 2 near misses at Upton, with numpties exiting Upton Marina.
Numpty 1 emerged from the Marina dyke into the R Severn in an inflatable, about 2,5m long, with 5 year old sat in the front, numpty on the tiller. Inflatable was on a direct path for Rafiki to run them over. Numpty 1 and I locked eyes, and he continued resolutely. I did a 360! Didn't fancy the paperwork or red stains on Rafiki's gelcoat. Nearly completed my 360 when Numpty 2 emerged from the Marina, straight across my path. At least Numpty 2 had the grace to apologise!
I am guessing Numpty 1 is one of those you meet now and again on the road in a Mondeo or Focus, convinced that they are better drivers than the Stig. I hope never to meet this gentleman again!
