It now appears that its impossible to buy the tubes of coloured gelcoat locally . I think due to low demand it sets on the shelf. Anybody know of a supplier on the east coast. Im after quill grey for a Dehler and dont fancy having to mix it up my self.

There's a place called ROTA Fibreglass Developments in Herne Bay who might be able to help, although you'd need to know the code number of the colour when you call them, I think. The proprietor is a boat-owner and is very helpful, but he is not there every day. 01227-368687.

Hi I am also interested in BlueC. I am looking for some Gelcout to match my 1992 sunseeker. Wonder iff they supply them.

Llewellyn Ryland do a vast range of colours. Tel 0121 440 2284. When I dealt with them they sent me 3 colour cards and put me in touch with a dealer called Polyfibre Tel 0121 327 2360. Min order was half kg which cost me £6.50 in Feb 2003

The firm is called Blue Gee just next to the bridge in Poole. They supply small or large quantities and I have always found them helpful. Tel. 01202 676612

I used to use Scott Bader as well, then they got very snotty saying that they were a wholesaler and did not sell directly to the public in small quantities.

Whoops, BlueG it is, good stuff though, sniff the bottle and there goes your memory. They are retailers and provide a good mail order service for small quantities.

I needed some gelcoat for our Delher 34 a couple of years ago - I contacted Dehler at Southampton - gave them the hull number and they sent me two small pots of gelcoat (my hull is a different colour from the topsides) They were very helpful.
