Collision Avoidance Sonar

I am currently looking for an instrument that detects objects in water which has the potential to damage my craft and steer away from it.
All this will be on autopilot. No human intervention.
Any suggestions?

FLIRT or Forward Looking Intelligent Radar Tracker should do the trick. Fully compatible with the SeaTalk and NMEA. Only problem with it is that it tends to dodge not only containers and the like that have been washed overboard, but have been known to steer wildly through shoals of mating mackerel.

Available at all good NASA outlets and Sputnik Labs but be warned, your pockets need to be VERY deep.

mmmmm not too difficult ...... a good set of eyes should do it !

All this will be on autopilot........ getting a bit tricky here and liable to incur posting about how to charge the battery etc.

No human intervention............ now we are getting to a real dilema here......

Any suggestions? Teach the WIFE to steer the boat !!!!! Satisfies all conditions above, as long as you keep the presents and things regular !!!!
