Has anyone here experience of using Coelan finishes? It was used on the timber trim of my boat and will need touching up this winter, but I have no experience of applying it. Is it easy/difficult? Any particular problems in application? I will probably have to work outside while putting it on.

I have Coelan on my deck and cabin.

I'm due to give mine some attention this winter. My understanding is that touching it up is basically a case of giving it a light sanding and then applying another coat over the top. I'd try and rig up some sort of cover if you're doing it over the winter. I described mine here

If anyone has a top tip for cleaning the algae/dirt out of the anti-slip I'd be very interested :)

Spray on Brintons MMC plus (Moss and Mold Cleaner) at the start of the season - leave, do not scrub, dirt will come off as a brown dust, which will wash away with rain or a bucket or 2 of seawater. Apply when dry weather is forecast. One application seems to last for a year. I do all my halyards in it too.

The Brintons MMC stuf sounds interesting, but on their web site it is in the "Professional products" section. The more commonly available product is "Patio Magic". Can you give us a steer to where you can buy the MMC ?
