does the canopy leak down the sides of the radar arch?
gets the table nice and wet when its stored away and the wet bar on the port side...well its always WET. unless you stuff kitchen paper up the sides /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
course its in the med and you don't get too much rain to find that out.

Yup I know ads arent allowed hence the PM request Pete. Its just a good opportunity for someone to get a money earning boat (coded for charter)
plus of course there own to use, based int Med thats all

Fair enough, I have a great deal of sympathy for anyone who wishes to minimize their boating costs and prevent their boat from sitting unused for 51 weeks of the year (even if it is a Sealine)!

Even though its a S*****e F36 my boat has been the main school vessel for over 3 years clocked up 3000hrs and still going strong. Cant be all bad then

F36/37 and the old F43/44 are/were all good boats. Even the S23/S25 are OK. It's all the others that are bit dodgy. Still, each to his own and what do I know!

if its the S29 and not the SC29 I would look after it very carefully /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
most of what comes out of the factory are the hard top version. they may pull the plug on the leaking canopy version. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

the S34 was missing in Barcelona, so could be in for a revamp /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well we looked at buying one but didn't like it so the answer is yes. Although, it's nowhere near as bad as other boats in the range.

T46 F47 and S29 are also fine vessels

so you base your theory that the S28 is s "bit dodgy" upon you and the wife not liking what you saw.

Not based on anything scientific then, what you really mean I guess is that you did not like the styling?

At the time we felt that the S28 was a bit cramped compared to the T29 and not as nicely finished/built. Cosmetically what let it down were:

a) the birds eye maple type joinery that they were deploying at the time
b) all white hull
c) naff graphics
d) naff upholstery
e) ugly port lights.

Some might say that cosmetics aren't that important. For us this was a once in a lifetime purchase so it had to look right.

Would I buy an S28 now? Yes I probably would (but don't tell anyone) if the price was right.
