Cockpit lighting/anti mosqito in the Med

Doea anyone have any good ideas for cockpit lighting while at anchor in the Med that might also be anti mosquito?

Anti-mozzie candles? Added advantage of being "romantic"

Citronella candles - can also get citronella oil (e.g. Homebase) that burns cleaner than kerosene, is cheaper than lamp oil and helps to repel the mozzies.

I smoke a pipe and that works well as a repellant to most forms of life, not so good as a light though (unless the count the constant need for a naked flame). /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

A difficult one this...the mossies seem to be immune to most things,citronella works ,but only in calm conditions. We have a large mossie net which I hang from the boom and spread over the cockpit area..This keeps the bu**ers at bay,but you have to be careful to swat any that get trapped inside while you are fitting it up. As for lighting I use a camping Gaz lantern with an anti insect glass. Am not convinced of its effectiveness.
