The crew (herself) and I were discussing the possibility of replacing our tatty cockpit dodgers. It being a Bank Holiday the sailmakers are shut so we can't get a quote. Has anybody bought a set recently and can provide a ballpark figure for us to work on. Ours is a 10m Westerly and I am looking for plain canvas without any script. Any help welcome.

I bought a new set last year from Martexmarine, good quality, very reasonable and quick service. They will also send you samples of material used.

I had a sprayhood and dodgers from Martex 7 years ago. Well made, good service lasting very well, nice chap to deal with. What more can I say? He often attends boatjumbles and has a stand with all his wares and fastenings etc. A genuine oldfashioned, hard-working bloke.

Can you give me an idea of how reasonable? I'd like to to clear the budget with herself while the iron is hot ( as it were). Tomorrow could mean a change in spending priorities!

You'd think if someone goes to the bother of posting a link you would click on it.
Prices are there.

I have dodgers from Goldfinch( the yachtdodgers link above) & I am a satisfied customer. They were nearly half the price of local sailmaker.I try & support local traders when I can but it is not always possible.

Slik cut in Plymouth produced two for us, with 8 letters on each.. for our 9.5 meter yacht... installed them as well on the boat.... £110 inc vat iirc.

Excellent.
