1st day out yesterday - yipee. Dry, cosy, heating on, no ropey thingies tangled around my feet, no boomey thingie trying to kill me, a cup of coffee in hand, a nice bit of lasagna out of the microwave. 3hr run down to Killaloe.

[/ QUOTE ]Ah - thought it looked a bit bare considering where I was posting, so had to put a bit of rope in /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Surely they are connected to the galley slave.

Tug on the left one for a can or beer, on the right one for a bacon buttie /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Shame about the laptop; it seems to be infected with Windows.

[/ QUOTE ]But connected to a Linux back end. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What always puzzles me is that we spend all that money to get afloat and out to sea, then set our boats up so as to get to the next harbour in the shortest possible time....... if the most important thing in life is really to get to the next pub, a boat is probably the slowest and most expensive way of doing it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'm 100% with you there. We don't rush around. We mostly cruise at displacement speeds and it is being on the water and the long passages that we enjoy, not the arrival. Also our anchor gets more use than our fenders. In that pic we were doing 15kt, but that was only for 15 mins to give the motors a blast. The rest of the 3hr relaxing trip was at 7kt.

Being on the water is the name of the game not in port.

Are you really doing 155mph at 15 litres a minute? Very smooth.

[/ QUOTE ]15.5 for a short burst. Rest of passage was at a very quite and relaxing 7kt /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif (@2gph)

Did you have a quick go with the pledge after lunch. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

[/ QUOTE ]No I took the pledge when I was 11 and stuck to it but I can't remember why now /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
