On the Dehler 29 the Barton (we think) mainsheet traveller cuts across the middle of the cockpit. Our best idea yet is to hang a cockpit bag below the traveller locating into the bottom of the track. Has anyone done something like this? Or know of someone who would make a bespoke one?

Best idea is to get at a sewing machine and make one yourself from old sail or old sail bag or any other stout canvas you can get. That way you amke it big enough to fit the whole area. You might want to divide it into sections across the traveller. I presume you would unscrew the traveller track from the under support and bolt the canvass in between the two. Or you could try some of the bulkhead halyard bags often sold by chandlers. My problem has always been theat people put their feet into bags and damage them. So currently no bags on the little boat. good luck olewill

The traveller on my boat is across the rear cockpit coming and I used to have a canvas bag attached just below this for the main sheet. It proved to be the ideal breeding ground for mildew, so make sure that you have a mesh bottom so that air can circulate and keep things dry.
