Got more time than i can throw a stick at lately, decided that yachtmaster is the way to go.
I did coastal skipper with sunsail about 3 years ago, and think i should re-do it as it won't hurt.

The question is, since owning a nice swedish yacht, I cant bare to spend a week on a bene or jene caravan (sorry if i have insulted anyone), anyone know where i can do coastal skipper practical on maybe an older but better yacht?

cheers all, big thanks as allways

Why not make it a holiday as well as instructional ?

Try Straits Sailing based in Gibraltar at http://www.straits-sail.com/

Did my Coastal Skipper with them and had a great time on a Gibsea 42 sailing around Cape Trafalgar, onto Cadiz then an overnight passage to Morroco in a F6.

Most schools and/or instructors will offer own boat tuition if you want to get some practice in first to bring you up to speed. You can then book an examiner directly through the RYA online booking scheme. Get some friends to halp defray the costs - although own boat tuition comes out at anything from £120 to £200 per day so a couple of days might not even get near the price of a YM pre-prep course.

PM me if you want more details.

Hi Woody. Boat-Share.com are running sailing courses on a Najad 390. We became an RYA recognised school very recently so haven't advertised yet. We have a new Dufour 365 coming in January as this is easier for people to learn on but will run courses on both the Najad and the Dufour as demand dictates. Let us know if you have any particular dates in mind.
