I'm unable to change the title in my original thread here: http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?377867-Coastal-Rides-poor-service so I think it only appropriate that I start a new thread to balance things and put the original thread to bed.

I have just received a genuine VP return hose along with a couple of gifts that will look great on the boat.

The way this issue has been handled has certainly turned my opinion of Coastal Rides around 180 degrees. Clearly passionate about their business and the satisfaction of their customers for which I thank Paul and Tony.

I'll have no hesitation in recommending Coastal Rides going forward.

cheers Gary

Only because of this public forum. Without all this negative news the outcome would not have been as positive. They tried to have one over on me years ago and from what I've read on this forum recently they don't seem to have changed. They've just flowered this problem up to look artificially good in your eyes.
All IMHO.

OGARYO - Don't you have a short memory, what about the inconvenience of a 2 hour drive for nothing and the fact that your son was fed up and that they got it wrong twice?
After the long thread before, surely, it's not worth dealing with people that don't value your business, there are loads of suppliers that actually care!

They may have only got this one wrong for you but what do you reckon that makes their failure rate?
100% in your case... TWICE!

Yes but he did get something for nothing in the end and also a very low price what he did buy!
Why not!

it's a fair observation from the outside looking in but my change in opinion is based on talking with Tony before the second issue where he accepted a mistake had been made very quickly and acted to try and rectify it. It's also based on a talk with Paul after the second mistake who was equally professional and helpful. It became clear during discussion with Paul that CR were trying to sort something out for me knowing I wanted to fix the boat quickly, they just got it wrong with sending the secondhand pipe that was too short, a mistake that cheesed me off at the time but one that they have rectified admirably within 24hrs of it being confirmed. and let's not forget the positive experience with the pressure pipe and ram.

in short, criticism where it's due but praise is warranted where it's due too

Oh probably not, based on your naming and shaming posts I thought that you were my buddy Matt Alright :). I am pleased that you finally realised that your emotional rubbishing of a Company required an apology of sorts.

Put them to the test yesterday, well sort of as I was in no rush to receive whatsover!
While checking out some nice shiney stuff on fleebay I stumbled accross an advert of their's (new rubber bump stop for transom shield 290 outdrive) mine on the Relcraft project is missing.
Anyway ordered at 2.30pm yesterday.....arrived 9.30am today, so I can only concur in that for me, a good service.
Rob.
