Not resin infused then as seems to be the accepted modern way (Azimut, Princess, SS I think etc), according to them anyway. Lighter and stronger and post cured in the mould, whatever that means....

EME, the metal blocks in those pics are tapping grade aluminium. They aren't there to add strength the the GRP component. Rather they allow a fitting (eg handrail) to be added on the gelcoat side by drilling and tapping and fastening by a set screw or bolt

A more easily recognisable 'shape'. I was assured the weights you can see are in fact old railway lines
Beginning to take shape. The plumbing and wiring is absolutely fascinating. All respect to the skills involved
The "tower" is the central electrical panel on a Targa 50 ... had never noticed it before but is a small cupboard at the bottom of the stairwell as you go into the port cabin:
Each line has its own dedicated carpentry area / team. All the wooden panels are fabricated in-house . This allows Fairline to make each panel larger than it needs to be with final finishing producing an exact fit:
At the 'stain stage' -- every panel is marked up for its build number and position.
The fit out in progress:-
Saloon looking forward to the helm:
The Kitchen area:
Just checking the dishwasher had its freebies
Does that stunning 6' 5" high master cabin really start like this?
Now THAT is what I call CAD/CAM:

....and finally, really getting there. I love the Black Stripe on the white hull ...
Everyone should have a look around the Fairline factory .. the passion, commitment but mostly the high standards really do shine through....

£800000 odd seems an awful lot for this boat, assuming your asking price is a 50% share of the purchase price? Is that including vat and getting it there may I ask?

The headline figure is really there as a guideline for potential partners rather than an exact sum.
There is a generous allowance for a fully specified boat with options, and that headline price includes VAT, Delivery to France, Commissioning etc. , and after allowing for a very generous discount.
We are only looking to find a partner and 'Share the Costs 50:50", not make money on it.
Having done comparatives it is very favourable against other boat options (in our opinion).

I wish you luck in finding a couple to help you with this aim. Although I get the feeling that you could really afford to do this by yourself or you wouldn't have gone ahead and ordered the boat.

Thankyou very much, I also think it is a very beautiful boat. We have been fortunate to go on many beautiful boats but when I saw the first one of these I said " I want one".
The story behind this is a very very complex shaggy dog story. We do need a partner to make this boat happen though. Our contract has a conditional get-out based upon that happening. We live in hope.
