Our CO Alarm keeps going off randomly
- Alarm located downstairs in alley between Engines)
- Though no obvious sources; Engines/Generator etc not running

Could battery bank charging trip alarm?
Or can anyone else suggest a cause?

Q: Can I use my CO 808, CO 808S, CO 828 or WCO-628 alarm in a boat?
A: It depends upon the type of boat. The CO 828 should not be used in sea going boats. Use in canal barges, river boats and fresh water faring vessels is acceptable.

hmmm why I wonder...

reply from FireAngel...

"CO-828 alarms should not be used on sea faring vessels due to the salt degradation. The salt interferes with the equipment and can cause it to develop a fault.

Hydrogen batteries can also set the alarm off so if positioned too close, please move the alarm.

Please monitor the alarm and advise if you get another activation."

so now for my question...

can anyone suggest a CO Monitor/Alarm that would be suitable for a TSMY that spends its life on the tidal Thames River?

We use this one, with proper results. i.e. it worked when it was supposed to work.
I have no idea if there is a vendor in your area, tho.

There are also some interesting installation tidbits in this thread on another forum:
