cmap ecs 4.1

I"ve got Cmap ECS 4.1 with Cmaps c93, the program works excellent, but doesn't find my connected GPS. An other program WinGps works without problems with my GPS. The Prolific GPS is connected USB to serial. When I disconnect the GPS, ECS 4.1 says NMEA port dosn't openend. Do anybody knows how to handle this?

I would suggest you subscribe to GPS Navigator group and post there.

They have all the knowledgable people post and reply to gps questions on that group, including some program writers.

If you start up the config file in 'navigator', open the ECS configuration file you can find there. Then go to the NMEA configuration screen. There select the right com port (you know which com port your GPS is using, I presume?). The NMEA tokens should be RMC. And while you're here, deselect the autopilot in the next screen.
Cmap, Wingps and waypointgps all work fine in my laptop, so it's not the fault of the programs.
