I’m struggling to find a river Clyde based engineer that will respond to emails/calls regarding some engineering work I need done this spring. Yacht based at James Watt Dock. I’d be grateful for any recommendations with contact details.

TIA

Rob

If JWD don't have their own small boat engineers (I know they have commercial), you could try the engineers based out of the other marinas so, Kip (Kip Marina Service Dept), Largs (360 boat services), Fairlie Quay (Quay Marine)? I find 360 boat services (Largs) are very helpful and responsive :)

Thanks all.

‘The work needed is remove prop shaft, fit new Volvo seal, fit new cutless bearing. No big deal, but well above my pay grade.....

JWD usually use Swordfish Marine that travel over from Sandbank. They are expensive.

Have you asked JWD for their recommendations? I would be tempted to get someone from Kip to do the job otherwise. There isn't an on-site engineer at Greenock.
