The new boat has one of these, instructions say it can be wired to a repeater at another station. Does anyone know what the output signalling is? Is it peculiar to Clipper instruments or is it nmea? Thinking I could link ot to plotter.

Yep

When I worked for British Rail, we didn't like repeaters at any Station(buggered up the Train Announcements!) and the Signalling Guys thought 'NMEA'

Give NASA a call. There tech person is very helpful.
