Hi all,

Quick question regards adding a second house battery to an existing BM1 setup:

Does the 2nd battery need to be the same Ahr spec?

Eg If I have a (healthy) 105Ahr battery and I add a 2nd battery (same chemistry) with 120Ahr. Any issues to be aware of?

Cheers,
M

I've been told exactly the same thing as Tranona has posted. There are plenty of people here who can comment but if your existing battery, nominally 105a/hr, it may seem healthy but its capacity may have been reduced - I don't know the implications if you had a spanking new 105a/hr and add to a, say, older, actually 95a/hr battery also assuming both Lead.
