Fleet due to leave Den Helder on 10th July with a finish on 12th. Although the finish is described as London I expect that the finish line will be in the same place as the start - off Southend Pier. The website doesn't make it clear! Parade of sail from 10.00 up the Thames rather confirms my suspiscion http://www.clipperroundtheworld.com/ports/St+Katharine+Docks+-+Race+Finish

You can download the Yellowbrick tracker on smartphone or tablet.

I've been following the race, some amazingly close finishes. GB is skippered by Simon Talbot from West Mersea YC. Shame they dont intend to finish in the week, I could watch the parade from my desk....

They left Den Helder at 1330 today and are aleady in mid-North Sea doing over 11 knots with 105 to run. So they will finish in the small hours. I am told that the finish is not off Southend Pier but at a committee boat in the estuary. As the parade of sail doesn't start until 0730 on Saturday then I suppose that they will tuck into Q'boro for a rest like they did before the start.

The finish is quite clear on yellowbrick, just south of southend

I'm a local and went to watch the start off the end of the pier. Southend Pier is one and a third miles long so the start was just south of Southend. Strange that they aren't finishing there too. On a day without much wind they would have been thereabouts in daytime and it would have been good to have watched but it hasn't turned out that way. ho hum.

anyone know what time they'll be coming up the Thames? HW around 1130 I think, so I assume that's eta ish at SKD.

I'll be watching out for them from Limehouse or may even go over to SKD. If anyone wants to come, let me know and I'll put the kettle on and open a packet of biscuits...
