Can any Clevedon Pill locals give me some advise on going in?
I attempted it just after HW neaps a few weeks back.
I followed the instructions about avoiding Black rock ,left the beacon pole to port and headed towards the first couple of moored motor boats .I grounded near a metal pole marker which I had left to port(not the beacon but a homemade job near the moorings.)
Due to the tide starting to ebb I bottled out and left it for another day.
I have visited nearly every river and pill in the channel at one time or another.My present boat is a 22 foot drop keel ,draft 4foot reducing to 2 foot.
