Approaching the Dardanelles from NE Greece Canakkale appears to be the logical Point of entry.
BUT,the latest edition of Turkish Waters and Cyprus Pilot warns that clearing in here can be 'irksome',and suggests it may be worth entering elsewhere.
Being reluctant to give away any of our hard won northing,I'm wondering if anyone has a more recent(Pilot published 2009),and maybe more positive experience of Canakkale?
