Cleaning vinyl walls in cabin...

Can anyone recommend a product for cleaning the vinyl walls in the cabin? They're not manky dirty but I want to give them a wipe down all the same to freshen up for the season.

I was thinking warm water and a sponge, but can anyone recommend any product that would aid?

The GF reckons warm water with a bit of lemon juice would be the trick... I dared not challenge her.
 
Magic sponge and just water. Absolutely nothing comes close!

You will need a few magic sponges. But once you use them you will start to clean everything in sight.

They contain no solvents , no questionable cleaning solutions, but simply clean better than anything I have used. For vinyl they are just untouchable.

I am OCD about cleaning. I've done my research!

I think we have a winner... mainly because I have a full box of these! Good on you, I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise!

Now there is an age old question... do you wet the sponge, or maybe spray on warm water onto the vinyl with a spray bottle thingy?

You've got to try some. They are.…well...magic…?!

I tell you what they are very good at, and that is cleaning marks off gelcoat, they will strip off any polish in addition to any marks so it is always good to re-polish after... I think I need to star in an infomercial for magic sponges!

Yep, will get onto Fleabay pdq. I've got to get the warp marks off the hull after a hard winter, then a good polish.
 
+1 on the magic sponge. Using it is quite slow compared to just wiping down with a towel, but the result is amazing. You only realize how dirty the vinyl really was after you've cleaned some with the sponge, so be prepared to do the whole lot once you've started :) As Firefly says, it can be used on many situations, but I'd rate the vinyl as being the optimal target.

+ ! for magic sponges though they are a little delicate and tend to break up if you are too energetic.
 
I have some ingrained black mould marks on the vinyl covering in my front cabin. Magic sponges don't get rid, anyone have any other suggestions as these are stubborn stains.

Hello everyone ....
I am another "newie" to the forum and keen to pick up any tips and ideas. On reading this thread I am also very interested in hearing any ideas about cleaning off marks from the vinyl. We have some rust stains under a couple of portholes which seem to be very stubborn ... I was thinking of trying plain old CIF - but don't want to damage anything!
Anyway, I'll let you know if it works ....
 
I had mould on my outside vinyl. Nothing would move it - bleach, flash, vinegar etc. I used Starbright Mould Remover ( about £10) it said spray on an it will vanish. Yeah Yeah. To my astonishment it did!

I've mostly bought off ebay. There is a very slight difference in quality from the expensive ones you listed first to the cheaper ones (see link below), but both do the same job... and to be honest as soon as you start to use the expensive ones they wear as quickly as these cheaper ones, the only difference being that they are larger to start with so last longer.... But get a pack of 40 and just use and throw away when they get worn out, they literally get smaller and smaller as you use them so its not something that lasts very long and if cleaning for instance the entire vinyl headlining you will end up going through half a dozen. I have got them from these guys in South Korea... lets hope its not a factory on the boarder!
