I see that its that time of year when our thoughts turn to Cleaning.

One problem that I have is the Green Algae/Moss, or whatever it is, that is coating part of the Decks & Spray Hood on my beloved Eleanor.

The Deck is not a problem, a good scrubbing will fix that, but the Spray Hood is a different matter. Has anybody found some magic fixall that will remove the Green Stuff without terminal damage to the canvassy stuff that the hood is made of?

All suggestions, well nearly all, gratefully received.

Never put bleach on sprayhoods. It's not good for GRP either! Best thing for sprayhood is take it off take it home and wash it in the bath with diabolical washing liquid. ( But take baby out first!)
p.s. You might need to re-proof it after... Get stuff for tents from camping shop.

I did my covers with flash with bleach and as a mobo that's a lot of canvas that certainly wouldn't fit in a bath. Flash got the green off easily and didn't seem to harm the covers.
The bleach in Flash is very dilute and I should have added that I rinsed it very well afterwards.
