Cleaning teak prior to laying

Is there anything else I can use to clean/prime teak prior to sticking it down with SIkaflex as part of new seats in the cockpit. I've ordered the right primer but has not arrived. Got some acetone, will that do? Or anything else I can get locally from a builders merchants or other suppliers. .

i've just had a new teak cockpit fitted (ouch) and the guy used acetone to clean everthing.

Acetone on a rag rubbed well in, and let it evaporate completely before sticking.
