Hi, can anyone offer advice as to how to clean the interior of a boat which has been badly smoke damaged due to an engine fire. BTW, I had considered removing every item on board and power washing but this seems extreme in to-days world. Any recommendations of expert smoke damage cleaning companies in Ireland? :ambivalence:

I dont know where you get them from but I believe the companies that clear up smoke damaged houses have some sort of smoke "bomb" they light and seal all the doors and windows that removes the source of the smell - try your house insurance company for a lead

What type of boat do you have - value etc as may be best to go via insurance co as smoke damage gets right into material fabric and you will never remove this - it also eats no the gel-coat lacquer etc

Just remember when the time comes to sell on - God luck and keep us posted -any photos btw :encouragement:

Thanks David,
I've now located a local supplier from Chemspec. They have recommended a guy who use their products. Thanks for the lead.:encouragement:
