Cleaning log impeller

Just searching, I found this thread that suggested dipping log impeller in limescale to clean it.

Limescale remover maybe

I guess it depends what you are trying to clean off of it.

Might be, but I use an old toothbrush.

I just pick the bits off with a fingernail (the Old Guvnor's preferably)

I just scrape off with screwdriver, dry off and then antifoul.
